You know, I made a resolution this year that i will spend less and save more. I have shared this goal with many of my friends only to get the same response over and over. " Save up for what? "
What i actually planned to get is a PSP Slim - yeah I'm outdated for getting it so late. My parents commented heavily on this, saying that is it such a waste to spend all my savings on a video game console. It was obvious they would rather me spend it on something more productive, perhaps like books or save it up for my education in later years to come.
But then I wonder, does education gurantee you a good job, a promising future ahead? No doubt many rich or successful people have good education qualifications, but does that apply so to everyone else?
I cannot continue further as I am unable to express my thoughts clearly, for they are a little fuzzy - I need opinions. If Benjamen were to read this, I would especially like to hear from you your view on this matter.
Okay so enough of the thought provoking quuestions.
Today I had Astronomy, but before that, went to some enarby coffee shop with Benjamen, Benhardi, Wei Hao & Chia Hui to have lunch. Ordered Hokkien Mee and it was delicious. Benjamen had his 'Tosai' again - a cheap yet filling dish as described so by the consumer himself. ( He had wanted potato in his Tosai but the shop ran out of it -.- )
After Lunch went back to school and headed for Astronomy. And btw to those assholes who moved my bag and set the worksheets underneath flying away, I dont mind if you move my bag
but please for Heavens sake have responsibility for your damned actions and at least put back my worksheets instead of letting them fly away.
Today Astro was just pure reading of books - I learnt 3 things from this session.
No lectures whatsoever because the ' higher intellect' people amongst us were giving the sec 1 applicants an interview and the venue was our Science Team room so we had to go to the Physics lab to read those books.
Its a condusive environment to study. Really. What better place to study than in a warm room in this humid weather plus the noise generated by the school band. ( Please dont get me wrong i love your music when played in cohesion but not when you guys are practising in your individual sections. )
So yeah learnt 3 things from this session. Maybe more but i forgot. Was dismissed at around 5 (?) I guess. Walked home with Daniyal and Wei Hao.
Done.
Is this the longest post I've ever written? I'm not sure.
