He stood there, legs shaking, sweat rolling down his forehead. A sure sign of nervousness. He raised an arm and wiped of the accumulating sweat off his forehead. She was standing in front of him, talking to her usual group of friends.
Gossips, he thought to himself. Typical girl talk. What else is new?
He had wanted to tell her something, but that thought had been lost, for his nervousness had overwhelmed him. He felt that if he were to open his mouth and speak, the words would come out jumbled and he might just forget what he wanted to say.
Just three words. But why do they seem so hard to say? He knew why.
